Brătescu Mansion is located on the Valley of the River Poarta that flows throughout the village of Bran in a very special natural frame. The Mountains Bucegi rise towards the east, the broad-leaved and coniferous forests surround the area on both sides and the amazing landscapes are cascading. The old houses the stone bordered roads or the roads full of grass create an unique background. The surroundings of Brătescu Mansion offer infinite possibilities both for the experienced photographers and for the beginners in the art of photography.

In Bran, 5-7 minutes’ drive from Brătescu Mansion, there is the ski slope of Bran. At a 4 km distance from the Bran Castle, in the Valley of Poarta Bran, there are the 3 ski slopes with different difficulty levels, out of which two are homologated. The longest slopes measure 700 mt and have average to high difficulty (red and black slopes). There is also a slope for children with a baby-ski. The high slopes have a ski-drag. You can find ski equipment rental at the bottom of the slope. The slopes in Poiana Brașov are close enough, at approximately 30-40 minutes’ drive.

The main objective of the sightseeing trip in the area which also brought fame to this human settlement is located approximately 10 meters away by foot from Brătescu Mansion. There is a lot to say about the castle, many truths and many legends. As Brătescu Mansion is very close to the Castle, you have thus the possibility of visiting when the area is not fully crowded by tourists (first thing in the morning or in the evening time).
